It had been almost two years since I had the opportunity to dive with the friends I left back in Dallas when I moved to Florida.
Well, Friday had finally arrived and I had everything packed and ready to head to the airport. I met most of the group
from Dallas, TX in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We had a 4 hour layover until our flight departed for Bonaire at 6:45 PM that evening.
A couple of the divers got to enjoy an extended stay in Miami due to electrical storms and missed the evening flight to
Bonaire. Besides the one diver that decided they would fly to Curacao and save a little money we all boarded the two hour flight
to Bonaire.
We arrived at the Plaza Resort in Bonaire and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty, amenities and spaciousness of the resort.
We had a 9:00 AM appointed with the on-site dive operator to fill out paperwork and perform a check out dive from the beach of the
hotel. Then it was off for a one tank afternoon boat dive.
