Course Overview:
You want to be a confident diver, a good dive buddy and learn more about diving? How about having a card that says
"Master Scuba Diver" meaning that you have taken the time and energy to learn about diving. It means
that you are at least a Rescue Diver with CPR and First Aid training, have completed at least 5 specialties and have been
on at least 50 open water dives.
Prerequisites:
Must be at least 12 years old prior to start date of class and be certified as a Rescue Diver.
Course Activities:
Achieving the Master Scuba Diver certification is easy. You need to (i) hold the Rescue Diver Designation, (ii) hold any
5 specialty certifications and (iii) have logged 50 open water dives. But, the information, experience and skills that
you develop along the way is the most important thing. You become a more confident diver, a more confident buddy and you
show commitment to the sport because you are learning about different aspects of diving.
- Classroom: There is one classroom session. The classroom session
will cover each of the specialties from the corresponding manuals, review your knowledge
review answers and prepare you for each of the open water dives. Not all dives are available
at all dive locations.
- Independent Study: Read the each of the specialties manuals
and complete the knowledge reviews located at the end of each manual. You will need to turn in the
knowledge reviews prior to certification or provide a copy of an Adventure Log signed by an
appropriate instructor if you have already completed a dive in connection with your
Adventure Diver certification.
- Open Water Dives: The open water dives are done at an area lake/scuba park
or on a dive trip. Not all dives are available at all dive locations.
Forms Required: Students need to complete the three (3) forms:
Students training will need to complete the three (3) forms: Liability Release, Statement of Understanding, and
Medical Statement prior to entering the water.
Materials/Equipment Required: Current version of Adventures in Diving Manual,
Adventures in Diving DVD and the corresponding Specialty Manuals and Specialty DVD's (if available). Recommended: Nav-Finder.
Price of Course: We offer 4 options,
choose the best option for you. The prices include the corresponding Specialty Manuals, Specialty DVD's (if available), certificate
suitable for framing, classroom sessions, open water dives, picture for certification card, certification card and booklet.

Length of Course: Approximately 20 hours. This includes independent study time.
If you have read the each of the Specialty Manuals, completed all the knowledge reviews located at the end of each chapter
and watched all the DVD's prior to coming to the classroom session, the classroom session will last approximately 3
to 4 hours. The open water dives can be completed at any area spring, scuba park or on a dive trip. Not all dives are
available at all dive locations. Equipment rental, park entry fees and air are not
included in the course price (additional costs will apply).
Course Dates: This packaged training course is offered on any lake weekend or
any dive trip.
